Our family lives in North Carolina and is part of a community that gives us the time and opportunity to focus on our family and things that give us purpose.    We recently set up the Chavez Family Foundation to dedicate some of our time and resources to help others.    The Foundation meets regularly to discuss opportunities to develop programs, or provide grants,  that help individuals or communities in need.  Our major program helps young adults understand key basic personal finance concepts so they can make good financial decisions early in their lives.  Our two most recent grants were donations to 1) the Red Cross specifically to help individuals in Western North Carolina that were impacted by Hurricane Helene and 2) the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina to help provide food to those in need.
